Caching Discoveries in Local Communities

Don’t you love to find caches in your local Community? You live somewhere, and every day you walk by information that you take for granted.  One of the reasons we started geocaching was to appreciate these jewels that we otherwise may not have ever known existed.

A perfect example is David Thompson (TCGUM). This historical virtual cache is located in a small town in Idaho. On Memorial Day 2015, cash108  and smithwitch123 stopped to pay homage to this gentleman who has been described as the “greatest land geographer who ever lived.”  As a bonus, they got to take a moment to pay respect to local residents who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country.

It takes a small amount of effort, but pays a large reward! Tell us about your local history by posting on the Community Page.

We are a growing group of innovative geocaching enthusiasts focused on creating quality outdoor experiences. Head out on adventures to find traditional, locationless, and cyber geocaches. Join us and explore the world around you!
