To log this cache you'll need to find a caboose that's permanently loose. I'm looking for a caboose car in a fixed location that is either on display or being used for another purpose. It should NOT be on a working railroad line.

1. Take a picture of the caboose with your GPSr showing...include yourself if possible.

2. Give the GPS coordinates from where the picture was taken.

3. One log per caboose and only one per terracacher.

4. Bonus points given for some history on the caboose or the location...(okay, not really, but it does make for a more interesting log!)

5. Respect private property...take the picture from a distance if necessary.

There's a sample picture above...feel free to log this one if you're near Hickory, NC. The caboose is in the front yard of a private home. The home's owner is a local author and train buff. He had a very short section of railroad bed and track laid by his friends...all for a pizza and beer party!
