It was harder than I thought I would be to place a classic cache in the middle of the 3rd largest city in the country! Good old Chicago.
Also known as the "Second City," the "Windy City," the "City of Big Shoulders," and "Chi-town," Chicago presents an endless supply of bars, restaurants, shopping, music, art, history, technology, sports, and on and on and on.... But, there are certainly some parts of town that are more pleasant than others. This is where Lincoln Park comes in.
Lincoln Park is the city's largest park, and certainly one of the longest. Straight and narrow, Lincoln Park begins at North Avenue and follows the shoreline of Lake Michigan northward for several miles. Within its elongated 1,200 acres are a world-class zoo, a half-dozen beaches, a botanical conservatory, two excellent museums, a golf course, and the usual meadows, formal gardens, sporting fields, and tennis courts typical of urban parks. To get to the park, take bus no. 22, 145, 146, 147, 151, or 156.
*THE CACHE*
The cache is inside a clear, plastic, tubular container w/ a black lid.
There will surely be some people around while you're there, so please be discrete.
A pencil is provided for signing the log.
